Notes from March 24th, 2019
Peru was another very experience-rich country that I wrote very little about. I think I ended up staying some 4 months in the country, but for whatever reason just didn't write anything about it. Of coruse, I took plenty of voice notes, but apparently I let it get away from me a bit.
It may simply be because Peru was an extremely offline part of my travels. I often found myself being whisked high up into mountain regions with little internet or even electricity. These occasions made for some of the best stories, but also made it difficult to capture those stories in writing (since I flatly refused to write on paper).
Anyway, suffice it to say that Peru was a treasure trove of interesting experiences, but that I'll have to go back through the recordings and extract those stories later.
