I've been eating this granola almost daily for what seems like years now, so I figured I'd put the recipe up. I should note that this is not exactly my recipe—the original is on AllRecipes.com—but I did make a few crucial adjustments to the sugar and oil (both far too much in the original recipe).
Here it is:
Granola
Ingredients
Grains and Nuts
- 350g Oats
- 90g Wheat Germ
- 85g Oat Bran
- 65g Sunflower Seeds
- 65g Chopped Pecans
- 50g Almonds
- 60g Walnuts
Sugar, Spices and Fat
- 9g Salt
- 25g Sugar
- 25g Molasses
- 25g Maple Syrup
- 40g Honey
- 50g vegetable oil
- 4g Cinnamon
- 6g Vanilla Extract
(Optional)
- 135g Sweetened Dried Cranberries (I always put these in, or alternatively some chocolate chips)
Process
- Mix together the grains and nuts in a huge bowl.
- Mix together the sugars, spices and fat in a sauce pan
- Bring sugar mixture to a boil. Boil gently for about a minute, stirring constantly.
- Pour sugar mixture over dry ingredients and mix thoroughly
- Bake on baking sheets in 325-degree oven for 20 minutes, stirring in the middle
- Cool and add optional ingredients
